Rifle Skills (RS) is an optional class that is scheduled prior to the 3 day Combat Team Tactics (CTT) Class. It usually runs on a Thursday.
The first day of the Combat Team Tactics (CTT) Class (usually a Friday) is the Combat Rifle (CR) Class. The Combat Rifle class is run on the square range and is focused on weapons manipulation and combat shooting as a progression onto the tactical ranges for the final two days of the Combat Team Tactics class.
Rifle Skills (RS) is offered as an initial training class for those who want more of a training progression prior to moving onto the 3 day CTT class.
Rifle Skills (RS) is a basic class that will be tailored to the specific needs of the students. In outline it will focus on the following:
Rifle Skills adds depth to the Combat Team Tactics class, and there is a certain amount of overlap with day 1 of CTT, as well as topics only covered on the RS class.
Zeroing is conducted on the Rifle Skills class, and not on day 1 of CTT. Those showing up to CTT only are excepted to bring a zeroed rifle to class.
For those wishing to gain the benefit of the square range training of both Rifle Skills and Day 1 of CTT, the Combat Rifle Skills Class is available, usually on a weekend, as a 2 day class without the progression to the tactical ranges.
Round count: 400 approx.
