He is wearing an MVT 556 Patrol Rig, 6 kydex magazine pouches, with no additional admin pouches. He will be changing over to the 3x Special Forces Rig with additional MVT admin pouches, but it had not arrived prior to class.
His belt follows the MVT Lite Belt concept, as outlines in the post linked above. The belt is kept light and does not require suspenders. It is effectively an open carry handgun belt with room for a couple of AR magazines. Please read the link to understand the overall MVT gear concept, and the philosophy behind it.
