KEEP CALM AND HOLD THE LINE
Yesterday, I posted ‘“It’s a Trap” – or – Comment on the Malheur Protest.‘ This was linked over at WRSA. I was pleased to see that the reason in my post appeared to be having a positive effect. This was partially undone later that day when another post appeared. The fear and the paranoia in that post set many readers back a few steps. I’m not going to paste the whole post here, but the link is below, and I have made several comments on it:
‘Malheur: Another Perspective’
Patriots: This has got to stop. I beg you. The fear and the paranoia has got to stop. Keep calm, and hold the line.
The linked post was originally put up by Pete at WRSA without attribution, which caused some problems, but it has since emerged that this was not the intent of the author, who posted it on his FaceBook Page originally, and Pete was simply not attributing it until he got confirmation and permission to do so. It turns out the author is Christian Yingling, who is the leader of a militia outfit in PA. He was apparently at the Bundy Ranch.
Please go read it, and the comments.
My first thought was that this piece itself is a psyop designed to turn Patriots away from supporting the peaceful protest at Malheur. It is terrible, an orgy of fear and paranoia. It is pure fantasy, black helicopter stuff, taking about ‘Delta Force’ being mobilized and the Patriot movement being crushed in some huge plot by Obama. It is pure fear and paranoia.
But many of you are susceptible to this, aren’t you, yes?
In both the linked article, and another that was linked by ‘Easy’ in comments to my post, a large factor is the discussion and accusations that three of the people at Bundy Ranch, who are now at Malheur (Ryan Payne being one of them) are provocateurs. I know nothing about this, but I have seen the accusations. The Bundy Ranch in itself was a fiasco from a leadership and tactical perspective, and it appears that there are a lot of hurt feelings between the militia, Oath Keepers, and the Payne followers. Yingling apparently being one of the militia who left the ranch due to all of this. It all just seems so immature, such gossip “he said she said.’ It’s like all the hurt feelings from the Bundy Ranch are now playing out at Malheur. So Yingling disagrees with Payne’s tactical decisions made at the Ranch? Both of these characters, it seems, are rank tactical amateurs, so why attribute malice to stupidity?
Could Payne be a provocateur? Maybe. Could he be incompetent tactically? Probably. Could he rather be a narcissist? Likely. Don’t necessarily attribute malice to incompetence. The bottom line is that we don’t really know, but the fear and the paranoia will detract from the potential welcome attention that the Malheur event seems to be attracting, now that the narrative is changing and reason is gaining traction.
I swear ‘Patriots/Militia’ in their paranoia, are their own worst enemy! I certainly hope that if the alleged trio at Malheur are provocateurs, that they are unable to pull Bundy into anything rash, and that if they are discovered they are run out of there.
There is a commenter going by the handle Iceni26AD over at WRSA who has made a number of comments on the post that appear to be well researched and rational. Pasted:
Disagree, with this author, based on information recently obtained, that either Ryan Payne, or Blaine Cooper are in charge on the ground there.
Gary Hunt has been in daily contact with some of those at the park office, who confirm that Ammon Bundy is clearly and solely in charge on the ground. I suppose the debate could rage for years as to whether Ammon Bundy has fallen victim to provocateurs. Regardless, he has stated that if the locals ask him (them) to leave, he (they) will do so.
Not scolding, Kevin, but as in the case at Bundy Ranch, and Dwight Hammond’s echo’s of the same concern, (being shot in the head) those people around Cliven Bundy were personal security, and it is likely that those same personnel are being utilized by Ammon Bundy for same reason. I don’t buy that they are “handlers.”
For all the screaming hysterics about Payne, Cooper, and Booda, not once ounce of blood was shed at Bundy Ranch. Many people attribute that to the people who rallied there…I personally attribute that to Divine intervention, but it surely is difficult to make a credible case for agent provocateurs who didn’t manage to get a drop of blood shed for all the efforts to do so, alleged by the cut and run gang, whose water it appears is now being carried for them, and especially when no evidence whatsoever has been presented.
I have serious doubts about Ryan Payne, but guess what? Those doubts are based upon hours of taped conversations I helped transcribe over a year ago, and my doubts are related to issues of character and poor judgment displayed by Payne. Frankly, I doubt feral.gov would have a use for someone who’s judgment is as poor as Payne’s but then again, desperation drives many a poor decision.
For my money, there are plenty more eloquent, persuasive, and influential voices out there, who fit the bill nicely.
God, sometimes I wonder if the patriots are worth all this…never mind the regular Joe’s just trying to get through one more day.
His name is Ryan Payne. He has plenty commendations for his service, including being attached to a Ranger Unit, on active duty. There is not one sound byte of evidence presented that he in fact claimed to be a Ranger. It was actually stated by a man named Mike (forget his last name) who headed an organization called Citizen’s Action Network (CAN), and which was not refuted, in a timely manner by Ryan Payne, as it should have been. Bad decision on his part to let that go viral, without a timely refutation. The damage has been done.
He is by trade, an electrician. His wife’s name and address was published by a commenter at Sipsey Street Irregulars at a time when very wild accusations and threats were being leveled at those associated with the Bundy Ranch stand-off. I guess MVB let it pass as a sort of “FU, Ryan Payne…let’s show you how real patriots work.” Bad form, indeed, and now anything said by MVB is balanced, in my opinion, by his cavalier cynical approach to the safety and well being of civilian non-actors, two states away, with small children in the home.
His association with CAN was his undoing at Bundy, imho. Some of the members of that organization were among the most cynical, cross purposed, ignorant, and corrupt influence peddlers on site, and it is miracle indeed, that they did not get at least one person killed there.
Those looking on, like militia members, could not understand the influences being exerted by members of CAN who were there to talk the Bundy’s into an ill-conceived, totally guaranteed one way ticket to prison extortion scheme, and Ryan Payne was disinclined to follow the advice of persons who did know the jeopardy the Bundy’s would be placed in, had CAN been successful in its advocacy.
No thanks to Ryan Payne, the Bundy’s, who are nobody’s fools, managed to avoid that particular trap.
This is but one example I could cite, of Ryan Payne’s lack of understanding of the character of the people around him.
He was placed in a position by Cliven Bundy as a militia liaison in order to prevent the legal nexus necessary for the gov. to claim that Cliven Bundy commanded a private army for the purposes of insurrection. It was a thankless task, as you see. The militias hated him, the OKs wanted to be him….or rather, OK leadership wanted that position for itself, it appears.
He also served as Cliven Bundy’s personal security, hence his presence at nearly all meetings between Cliven Bundy and outside parties.
While outsiders do not trust him, it is clear that the Bundy’s do trust him. Since it appears that he is ready to take a bullet for them, not once but twice now, it appears he has earned their trust.
Maybe if OK leadership had run into house to get the Bundy’s “off the X” instead of back to the hotel rooms to get themselves “off the X” then OK leadership could be a Malheur, as personal security…what do you think?
Two further useful comments:
There are so many points I would like to make about this post however I have neither the time nor desire to counter every bit of stupid I come across. Therefore, I will begin at the beginning and try to stick to 3 main glaring points. The first statement made by this individual screams narcissistic self aggrandizing individual who lacks any real leadership or military leadership of any real significance. “Gather around and listen to what I am about to say..Then either shut your mouth, or share this far and wide.” Any true battle hardened military leader knows that they are not the all knowing all powerful being who has the answer to all that is important (please note sarcasm). All good and effective leaders surround themselves with experts and are willing to adjust their position based on new intelligence, information or strategy. To come out and say “listen to me (the all knowing) and agree with me or shut up and go home” shuts down any further comment that someone in a leadership position needs to be willing to hear. He also comments “it was stated, dare I say, TAUGHT to me today” indicating how inconceivable it is that he actually has more to learn. Really? Just wow…
He later states that his position is calm when clearly it is fully emotionally driven and seems to exude an underlying personal frustration with some of the individuals he is attacking and making accusations against. He expresses knowledge of the inner-thoughts of some of the individuals on the ground claiming they have PTSD and are “suicidal” and “living out the war in their head.” he also claims to know the inner thoughts of the LEO and that “they know how this will end.” I have never been privileged enough to be in a situation where there was perfect intel on a situation to the point where the full outcome of the fight and 2nd order effects and blow-back were all perfectly predicted before the opposition even arrived on the scene. And also having someone With the ability to read minds! With an all knowing guy like this who the fuck needs anyone else…he should be able to single-handedly solve all of our woes and problems.
Last point I will make: he states that battles and wars are only won under a certain prescribed formula…yes we “plan, equip, rehearse and execute” as much as we can…but we don’t do this for every engagement, firefight or battle within a war. Unfortunately reality doesn’t allow this. If we are to hold all action until all circumstances for this perfect narrative are manifested we fall into analysis paralysis and will never do more than “armchair commando” our way until we are living in the U.S.S A. Under our all knowing communist leader dreaming of the America we once were.
To date this is simply as stated by Ammon Bundy a peaceful protest by individuals who are legally armed and willing to defend themselves…there are multiple possible, plausible outcomes. Even if there are “handlers” and embedded “agents” it still does not predict outcome. Human and group behavior is funny like that and hard to predict. The one thing that could make this protest successful is for people who see the injustice to stand in support to make a difference instead of diving for your bunkers to regroup for a more “fair weather day” because someone heard from someone else that there was a black helicopter on some post on the middle of the “plan, equip, rehearse and execute” phase preparing to activate the drone attacks….
Goat fuck…. This entire thread. It’s school for the Feds on how to effectively shut us down. This is NOT my idea of how to fight but I don’t think they went there to fight. I believe Bundy went there to bring light and media focus on the tyranny of the Fed Gov. Trouble is the media is against Frefor. And 97% of the people are sheep and do not want their happy consumerist paradigm shattered. They don’t want to know they are anything but free and couldn’t accept it if the President himself were admitting it to their faces at 130db. Militia? A joke. When the time comes it needs to be caught asymmetrically by partisans who hit fast and fade back into the communities. Their top brass and local minions need to be eliminated and go from there. I don’t see much sense trying to fight them at the troop level on their playing field.
So basically yes, another ‘Patriot’ psyop goatfuck where fear and paranoia paralyses anything useful.
You want to dive into your bunker until the conditions are perfect and you have perfect knowledge of the battlefield?
So unprofessional on so many fronts.
